Dream It, Be It
Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls gives girls the tools they need to achieve their education and career goals, empowering them to break cycles of poverty, violence, and abuse. Although all girls face barriers because of their gender, we prioritize working with girls who have additional obstacles including poverty, unstable home lives, living in foster care, or teen motherhood.
We are striving to grow this area of our commitment to girls and being hands on positive influences and role models, we have speakers on challenges, resources, careers, and many other topics important to girls, crafts, vision boards, etc.
Leaders Club for Girls
Our Soroptimist ladies have partnered with the Marysville YMCA to mentor some young ladies in a local middle school.
The group is called the Leaders Club for Girls.
Here is a photo of the gang on their first field trip together. They visited the NOAH Animal Shelter and brought toys and blankets that they made for the shelter's furry guests! The Leaders Club for Girls is a weekly mentoring program with volunteers and young ladies who express interest in seeking additional growth experiences with adults and peers. It's an amazing program with outstanding results for all involved!!
