ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION
Women at their best, working to help other women and girls to be their best.
Soroptimist International of Marysville was founded in 1978. We are a group of WONDER WOMEN of all ages dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls in our local community and throughout the world! Our signature projects include our Live Your Dream Awards, financial assistance to girls in furthering their education after high school and our successful Leaders Club for Girls program, a more direct hands-on approach mentoring middle and high school girls.
We support local programs in the fight against violence and trafficking against women and girls. We support our YMCA, Marysville Food Bank,Linc NW, Eagle Wings disAbilities Ministries Relay for Life, NJROTC, Dawson Place, and Klos for Kidz, just to name a few.
Recurring Meetings
We encourage members to attend the monthly meetings, but they are not required to.
Business Meeting: 1st Wednesday of the month at 6 pm at the Marysville YMCA (excluding July and August)
Program Meeting: 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7 am at the Village Taphouse (excluding June, July, August & December)
Board Meeting: 4th Wednesday of the month at 6 pm at the Marysville YMCA (excluding June, July, August and December)
How We Are Making a Difference
Our many years of experience working with women and girls have taught us that education is the key to unlocking economic empowerment of the world’s women and girls. When women and girls are educated, they have opportunity, choice and power to make healthy decisions for themselves and their families.
