AWARDS & PROGRAMS
There are many ways that we invest in dreams and improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. Annually, we provide a financial award to a female head of household who is receiving education to provide for her family. We also award a young lady between 14 and 17 who volunteers in her community, and we make a donation to her organization of choice. In addition, we give to a local woman who is making a difference in our community. Lastly, we award thousands in scholarship funds to deserving high school senior ladies who are furthering their education after high school.

Live Your Dream Award
Soroptimist's Live Your Dream Awards program is a unique education award for women who provide the primary financial support for their families. The Live Your Dream Awards give women the resources they need to improve their education, skills and employment prospects.
Violet Richardson Award
Soroptimist International of Marysville is seeking young women (ages 14 – 17) who are involved with helping our community. If you are a young woman who believes in the power of volunteer action, you may be eligible to win a Soroptimist Youth In Service Award. You may nominate yourself or someone else. Award recipients will receive a $100 cash award and a plaque. We will also donate $500 in the recipient's name to a non-profit organization of her choice.
Ruby Award
The Soropmist Ruby Award is for Women Helping Women and recognizes a woman who has enhanced the lives of women and girls through professional, business, and volunteer activities. Award recipients will receive a $500 cash award. They will also be recognized at a special awards celebration held in spring.
Scholarships
Each year, we raise money, which allows us to offer scholarships to graduating senior girls from North Snohomish County. In 2024, we were able to give $20,000 in scholarships. We invite you to apply for a scholarship that will assist you in continuing your education at an accredited post-secondary college or technical training program of your choice.
LEADERS CLUB FOR GIRLS
Our Soroptimist ladies have partnered with the Marysville YMCA to mentor middle school girls. The group is called The Leaders Club for Girls, a weekly mentorship program with volunteers and young ladies who express interest in seeking additional growth experiences with adults and peers. It's an amazing program with outstanding results for all involved!
