2025 SCHOLARSHIPS
Soroptimist International of Marysville is a non-profit service organization that provides support to women and girls in our community in many ways. One of the ways that we support young women is through our scholarship program. Each year we raise money, which allows us to offer scholarships to graduating senior girls from North Snohomish County. In 2024, we were able to give $20,000 in scholarships.
We invite you to apply for a scholarship that will assist you in continuing your education at an accredited post-secondary college or technical training program of your choice.
Education is the pathway to a brighter future.
Education gives girls the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their lives, leading to greater independence and self-confidence.
Educated girls have better job prospects and higher earning potential, which helps break the cycle of poverty and contributes to economic growth.
Educated girls are more likely to make healthier choices, access medical care, and understand the importance of nutrition, sanitation, and reproductive health.
Education challenges societal norms, giving girls the opportunity to advocate for their rights and contribute to more gender-equal communities.
SUBMITTING YOUR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
To be considered for the scholarship, all requested information must be provided:
1. Complete all contact information.
2. Answer each question on the Scholarship Application form accurately.
3. Provide a multi-paragraph essay, not to exceed one page, that answers the following question: Where do you see yourself in five years?
4. Provide two letters of recommendation (excluding family members) with your completed application.
The deadline for submitting your application is Friday, April 18, 2025 Preferred: Email a PDF document of your complete application to MarysvilleSoroptimist@gmail.com. You will receive an email confirmation of your submission within 24 hours.
Alternatively: Submit a paper copy of your complete application to the mailing address above, postmarked no later than April 14, 2025. You will receive an email confirmation of your submission within 24 hours of its receipt.
Soroptimist Scholarship winners will receive an invitation to attend a recognition event that will be held in the spring of 2025. Complete details and information will be included in the invitation.
Scholarship winners will be required to RSVP on their attendance at the event.
